Another short day today.
We left Washington after breakfast and headed out towards the Leigh Hi Valley. A well-populated area west of New York.
We know a bloke who plays in a band, the Philadelphia Funk Authority, and they will be playing here at Easton on Sunday. Also it looks like a nice place for the weekend.
Apparently the Declaration of Independence was signed here and there will be a re-enactment on Sunday along with other festivities. Might be fun.
Mostly highways today once we got out of Washington. A bit strange was that the way chosen for us by our new GPS took us through several small towns. Nice enough, but the traffic! Takes about 10 minutes to get through the one set of lights in a town. I'm sure it would be a lot less congested if they just switched them off.

Either freeways every which way or slow crawls through towns |

Crossing the Susquehanna River - flooding |
|
The Fireworks tents that had popped up all over the country are being dismantled |
|
'Cos it was signed here. |
|
OK so we went out and gave it a tub. |
Just 198 miles in the hot sun. In the low nineties F most of the day.
